The Moreton Side Table is designed to sit beside a sofa, armchair or bed. Its gently rounded top and hand-turned bobbin legs give it a quiet character, while its simple proportions allow it to sit comfortably in both traditional and contemporary rooms.
The turning was inspired by Neptune’s Necklace, the native seaweed found along the Moreton Bay coastline. Its rounded, repeating forms can be seen in the rhythm of the legs, giving the table a subtle connection to the place after which it is named.
Each table is made by hand in our Brisbane workshop. The legs are individually turned on the lathe before being carefully fitted to the top using traditional mortise-and-tenon joints.
The Moreton Side Table is crafted from sustainably sourced Tasmanian Oak, chosen for its strength, warm colouring and natural variation. It is finished with a natural VOC-free hardwax oil and wax, which protects the timber while allowing its grain and character to remain visible.
No two tables will be exactly alike. Small variations in the timber and hand turning are part of what makes each one special.
Designed and made in our Brisbane workshop, the Moreton Side Table is intended to be used every day and kept for many years.
